Salomon has optimised power transfer through the boots by using a technology called Coreframe 360°. This shell is lighter than the previous X pro range, with fibreglass used to provide mega response and stiffness in the frame, so you have a reactive boot with energy but without added weight. The thinner wall construction and new shell materials allow the foot to be closer to the shell and provide enhanced sensations, more power, and direct transmission.
