No, but they serve a purpose. I had the biggest bum on the slopes ! but I had confidence that I could ski again, without breaking my other hip.

Fits well, good design seems to have padding in all the right places and then some. 1 star less as not actually boarded and fell over yet while wearing

The d30 pad is too small to properly disperse an impact away from your tailbone, it also protrudes more than the rest of the pads from your butt. I hoped the pressure of an impact would have been dispersed away from the tailbone more by the larger Eva foam pad under it, however it was not. Any impact on your butt is met by the small protruding d30 tailbone pad and not the other pads. This causes the full force of the impact to hit right on your tailbone. I tried dropping on my butt from 1ft of the ground, without the pads I'm fine, but butt cheeks take the impact, with the pad, the whole impact hits my tailbone and I can feel it shoot right up my spine, it took a non- painful landing and made it very painful.

These shorts are great - protected me on falling out of a jump better than I expected. Online sizing was inaccurate and washing instructions were not clear. These state hand wash only although I have machine washed without issue (although at my own risk!). The sizing was done on waist size - I'm a size 14-16 - I came in just over the xl waist measure so I bought xxl but they are very flexible material and easily stretch so would fit a larger person so I could have bought a size down. The only negative with these shorts is they don't have any mesh panels in so you get very sweaty around the nethers but the protection coverage is superb!

Great D3O impact shorts for snowboarding. Saved my *** literally. Took some hard impacts off jumps onto hardpacked snow and no soreness whatsoever. Comfortable once you get used to the feel of them, not as bulky as the picture suggests. Hand wash only is only downside but you could possible get away with cold machine wash and slow spin (I've done this with MTB D3O pads and has been fine). Recommend.

Comfortable fit lots of padding. I went with a large and they fit great. I am usually 32 to 34inch waist. Havent fully tested on the slopes yet so hoping the d3o is a good as they say

I used them for my first 7 hour snowboarding lesson at an indoor place. These did the job brilliantly. I must of fallen on my bum about 50 times(not exaggerating) and with a proper thud, I’m 47 and 5’10 so a long way to fall. I have zero bum pain afterwards, these are worth the money, they completely protect your coccyx and bum bones. I’m ordering the knee pads and elbow as well.
