About the Deuter Fox

Designed for the young backpacker, the Fox 30 is fully capable and adequately sized smaller version of the range of infamous trekking backpacks. It is the ideal companion for those first overnighters and initial multiday escapades.

Based on the classic top-loading design modernised for the youth of today the Fox 30 has two daisy chains that run parallel down the length of the pack offering a range of lashing options for equipment. Ice axe or trekking poles can be attached with provided detachable clips to the daisy chains combined with gear loops on the soft hip fins for hardwear the Fox is fully capable for multidiscipline versatility. A zippered pocket under the hood is perfect for keeping valuables or a first aid kit close at hand. Deuter’s Fox 30 is hydration system compatible with a sleeve on the inside of the pack and a clip for the drinking hose.

The Fox 30 features Deuter’s Alpine back system where the combination of comfort, durability and functionality is paramount. Two softstripe back pads run parallel vertically allowing for optimal airflow to the upper back. The Climber is bonded to Deuter’s Guide X frame, a pair of aluminium stays that provide excellent flexibility and strength ideal for carrying heavy loads. The Vari-Quick System of the Fox 30 allows the pack to be tailored quickly and easily to the users back length, exceptionally useful for a growing child.

The Climber is made from a combination of Deuter fabrics. The base and front panels of the pack are made from Deuter’s Ballistic, a 420 denier fabric coated in a premium quality Polyurethane, providing exceptional durability for hard wearing areas. The remainder of the pack is constructed from Deuter Super Polytex, a 600 den Polyester fabric, a multipurpose fabric for a range of disciplines. The conglomeration of these materials used in conjunction allows for maximum durability of the Climber without sacrificing on weight.
